What we love: The awesome surprises. Chat up strange beekeepers, famous hunters and other memorable characters – and stumble upon all sorts of secret caves and eerie forests. Will you find a chest full of weapons or a colossal rat on the other side of the graveyard? Probably both!

Quick tip: Did you pick up a bag north of the Ghoul Nest and hear a man across the river claim it’s his? Don’t keep it – toss it to him! The friendly choice unlocks more bag-retrieval quests that’ll lead to a valuable reward.

Meet the creator: Early in the game’s development, the five-person team at Early Morning Studio debated having the hero of Vampire’s Fall 2 be a human vampire-hunter, but they ultimately felt that being a bloodsucker would be much cooler.
