How do I start? # Download the Nationwide banking app and follow the instructions on screen, you’ll need your Nationwide account details or customer number. You can log in with Face ID, Touch ID or passnumber if your device allows. Once you have set up biometrics on your account, you will be able to confirm new payments with Face ID or Touch ID. We will ask you to take a selfie. We might still need to verify your identity using your card reader, so please keep it somewhere safe just in case. # How safe is the Nationwide banking app? # Our Digital Banking promise means: • We'll refund any money taken from your account without your authorisation • We'll monitor and protect your account 24/7 with the latest technology • We'll provide you with education on how to stay safe including top tips and information on the latest fraud and scam trends Please see our website for full terms and conditions. T&Cs apply. # You can use the app to: # • View your accounts and statements; savings, loans, mortgages, credit cards and current accounts. • Browse our product offerings, and open new accounts. • Customise your banking app home screen. You can choose slimmer account tiles to see more on your screen. • Manage your payments – set up, cancel and amend standing orders in the app. You can cancel Direct Debits too. • Authenticate transactions in the internet bank and when shopping online. • Report lost, stolen or damaged cards. You can also freeze / unfreeze your debit card. • Add your cards to Apple Pay. • Download copies of your monthly statements for some accounts. • Search for or scan transactions at a glance. The app shows you pending transactions and includes easy identifiers such as brand logos and the organisation’s location and contact details. • Set savings goals and your own contactless payment limits. You can also turn off contactless payments. • Round up your spending and save the extra directly into your savings account. • If you ever find gambling becomes a problem for you, use the app to set a gambling block. • Personalise your settings to update your personal details, get text alerts and go paperless.

We've refreshed the look and feel of credit cards to make things simpler and more intuitive. You can now raise disputes directly in the app, and paying off your credit card from your Nationwide current account is easier than ever.
