What we love: Outwitting opponents. Bloons can take multiple turns to attack, so you always have to be thinking a few moves ahead. Watching wave after wave of your Bloons bash through enemy forces feels incredibly satisfying – especially when your brave monkeys are simultaneously poking holes in your foe’s best-laid plans.

Quick tip: Catch rivals by surprise with fortify cards. Your nemesis might do the maths and think they can survive your incoming attack... until you play Improved Fortification and increase a Bloon’s health at the last moment. Knockout!

Meet the creator: New Zealand’s Ninja Kiwi was founded by Auckland–based brothers Chris and Stephen Harris. In the original Bloons (2007), players controlled a monkey flinging darts at clusters of balloons – an idea that came from Stephen’s wife, who suggested making something based on carnival dart-and-balloon games.
