We love an app that does it all. Anghami is an all-encompassing entertainment app where you can indulge in your favourite music, podcasts, books, radio and TV shows. Discover the latest chart-toppers in its personalised and curated feed, and connect and share music with friends via its neat social feature. Here’s your starter kit:
Find your music taste
On the Explore tab, tap “Get started” and select some of your favourite artists. Anghami will start to learn about your music preferences and share similar artists so you can go deeper into the genres you love. Your feed will gradually become more dynamic with songs, albums, playlists and podcasts for you to try – you can also find everything in Your Library > Created for you.
Connect with your friends
The Connect tab features highly rated public profiles with the option to tune into their live radio streams – you’ll find track IDs listed at the bottom. Curious to see what your friends are listening to? Tap the profile icon on the top left to import friends from your Contacts and request to follow them in the app. If you happen to be sitting next to them, you can instead scan their profile QR code.
Chat and share music
Found an epic tune? Tap the chat icon on the top left of the Connect tab and a message window appears; from there you can tap the plus sign to share a playlist or song with your friends. Anghami can even work its magic and create a Friends Mixtape, which combines both of your tastes into a single playlist. Save the playlist to your library and keep adding to it!
Create personalised playlists
Nobody knows your musical mood better than you. On the My Library tab, tap New Playlist to make your own. Once you’ve added a title and description that includes specific keywords and genres, you’ll see suggestions to help you build your playlist from your downloaded tracks, likes or via search. When you’ve added two or more tracks, an “AI MIX the playlist” pop-up will appear to suggest other tracks that complement your picks.
